A comprehensive upgrade of the VIP and VVIP wards at Guido Valadares National Hospital, covering critical infrastructure, patient areas and support facilities. The work was staged so that medical operations continued uninterrupted throughout.
Scope of work
- Reinforcement of the existing frame to current seismic and safety standards
- Full MEP modernisation — HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing and medical gas
- Interior refurbishment of wards and waiting areas — flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, windows, doors and oxygen tank systems
- Fire protection, accessibility features and emergency systems
- Phased execution with temporary facilities and safety barriers so the hospital kept operating throughout
