An upgrade of the Maliana II irrigation system to improve water efficiency, raise crop yields and support local farmers. The project also covered environmental compliance and ongoing performance monitoring.
Scope of work
- Survey and condition assessment of the existing infrastructure
- Cleaning, repairing and concrete lining of canals to improve flow and reduce seepage
- Upgrading of intake structures, gates and valves
- Drainage improvement and erosion control
- Access road rehabilitation and training for local water user groups
